Terraces of Cala Biriala

Cala Biriala known as Biriola is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Orosei, its characteristic emerald color is the backdrop to the lush green of the vegetation that surrounds it. We will leave from Orosei to reach Baunei in about 1 hour and a half, from here we will climb to the part above the town until you reach the Golgo.

This trekking route that leads to the terraces of Cala Biriala is easy to walk, with little difference in height. We will reach the top behind the beach, with a breathtaking view of this and the entire Gulf. We will pass on ancient paths of charcoal burners and shepherds who in past years have not had an easy life in these inaccessible and wild areas. An old sheepfold, used for many years by the goats of Baunei, is there to demonstrate the fact that the art of building them was the result of ancient knowledge, which, like the nuraghi, allow to resist in time.

At the end of the excursion we will have the opportunity to enjoy an excellent meal in one of the sheepfolds of Golgo, where wise hands will prepare us ancient recipes that say so much about our history and culture.

The return to Orosei is scheduled for 18 hours.
